This is an excellent value for the money. Assembly was very straight forward, especially after reading some of the previous reviews. Instructins still do not mention the two sleeves that are supposed to be installed in the handles, and installing the console without overtightening the mounting screws ensured the console worked the first time. Great elliptical for the price
Overall a great elliptical for the price - quite sturdy construction and very smooth operation. The console has many options to choose from - 10 profile progrms such as Rolling Hills, Strength Intervals), calorie goal, 3 heart rate control options besides the manual and quick start modes. Best under $1,000!
I had no problems at all with my order/delivery of the Schwinn 438 Elliptical Trainer from Amazon. Free delivery saved me $122.00 and was within a week. It took my husband about two hours to put the machine together. It's very quiet and has SO many different programs and difficulty settings. It gives you a great workout, and I love the fact that it keeps track of your progress under your own profile. The console keeps breaking
Overall this machine is just barely okay... pretty cheap built, but I guess you get what you pay for (But I even bought it when it was a thousand bucks, $300 is a more appropriate price for this thing). Even with very light use (hard to get motivated to get on this thing) twice now the electronics have stopped working. The first time (which it broke just after a week) they mailed me a replacement free of charge but now that the warranty is gone I don't know what will happen. Not sure if it worth .... Read more

I'd love this machine if it weren't so poorly made
I bought the Schwinn 438 about two months ago. Half of that time, it's been out of commission due to Nautilus' absolutely atrocious quality assurance. First, the machine shipped missing half the screws and bolts necessary to complete construction. It took the company three weeks to finally send me the small box of parts I needed.
